Electric Theatre, Pontefract

Not too far to travel for this fit-out project for the SL2 team, as we headed a little further up North to Pontefract to complete refurbishment works for the Electric Theatre Bar & Restaurant. Working alongside Melling Ridgeway + Partners Ltd, who undertook the design work, we once more collaborated on this hospitality refurbishment project, covering two bar areas on the first floor and a rear ground-floor room.

The project will involve the complete strip out of existing bar areas on both the first floor and ground floor of the establishment. This allowed for a complete refit, including a variety of improvements and upgrades.

One of the key elements of the project was the installation of alterations to the electrics for controllable lighting. This allows the establishment to create a variety of lighting effects that can help set the mood and atmosphere of the space. Additionally, decorative joinery and shop fittings were installed in the bar and stage, creating an attractive and functional space that is ideal for entertaining guests.

New flooring was also installed, along with a new decoration to help modernise the space. The ceiling was sprayed with a paint system over ceiling tiles, and a new bar has been installed with LED lighting to create an inviting and vibrant atmosphere.

Bespoke signage made from timber was also included to add a touch of sophistication to the space. The project also featured the installation of artificial plant screening in the ground-floor area, which will provide a natural ambience.

Finally, formed seating areas were included to provide a comfortable and welcoming space for guests to relax and enjoy themselves.
