SL2 Ltd, a leading construction company based in South Yorkshire, would like to congratulate Director, Scott Lee, on his recent appointment to the Board of Directors at Retford Football Club. This appointment marks a significant step forward for both the football club and SL2 Ltd, as Scott brings with him a wealth of experience from his successful tenure in the construction business.

Retford Football Club’s recent announcement of Scott’s appointment, along with fellow new Director, Chris Sly, has been met with excitement and anticipation as the club hope to benefit from Scott’s business acumen and his passion for football.

As a founder and Director of SL2 Ltd, Scott has overseen numerous successful construction projects in the region, with a particular focus on sporting venues. His extensive expertise in managing complex construction projects will undoubtedly prove invaluable in shaping the future direction of Retford Football Club. His ability to combine strategic thinking with practical implementation aligns seamlessly with the club’s goals of growth and development.

In addition to Scott joining the board of Directors, SL2 are also excited to announce the company has secured the naming rights at the Rail Ground, with the ground becoming the SL2 Rail Stadium. Ensuring the ground retains it’s cultural identity, keeping “Rail” in the title has been purposely done as a nod to the ground’s history and its adjacency to the East Coast Main Line.

One of the key aspects of this agreement is SL2’s commitment to enhancing the facilities at the SL2 Rail Stadium, making it a more welcoming and comfortable space for everyone who visits, including players, spectators, and the local community.

In a recent interview, Scott Lee expressed his enthusiasm for the new role: “I am honoured to join the Board of Directors at Retford Football Club. Football has always been a passion of mine, and I see this appointment as an opportunity to give back to the sport and the local community that has been so supportive of our business endeavours.”

On joining the board of Directors at Retford FC, Scott adds: “We spoke about how much I love football and with being a business owner and now a member of the surrounding community asked if I could help in anyway.

“Football has been a huge part of my life from the age of 4 and to be able to assist in some way is an absolute honour, and to see my company’s logo on the training gear is refreshing to see and was a proud moment. From then in it’s become second nature to look for the ‘Choughs’ score after my beloved Sheffield Wednesday.”

On the naming rights for the SL2 Rail Stadium, Scott adds: “This is a great day for the club and our company!! We’re looking forward to welcoming fans to the SL2 Rail Stadium in the upcoming weeks to cheer on The Choughs.”

Retford Football Club, founded in 1885, holds a special place in the community and Scott’s commitment to community development aligns perfectly with the club’s ethos.

SL2 Ltd has played a pivotal role in shaping the sporting landscape across the region, with expertise in construction and facility development. Scott Lee’s appointment to the Board of Directors at Retford Football Club serves as a testament to SL2’s commitment to not only delivering outstanding construction projects but also contributing positively to the sports and community sectors.
