Contracting our services directly to the customer, The True North Brewing Company, SL2 were tasked with the demolition of the old outbuildings, conservatory and beer gardens, and the construction of a new, larger dining area at the Milton Arms public house at Elsecar in Barnsley. We used traditional construction materials to keep in style with the existing features, as well as creating an entirely new external landscaping scheme over a 12-week project timescale.
A hugely challenging scheme with a client and design team that wanted a fantastic and interesting new space for the local community to meet, eat and drink, and everything had to be completed before the lifting of lockdown restrictions. No matter what the weather or the site threw at us, we worked tirelessly to ensure the handover was done with 5 minutes to spare on the clock, and all in partnership with the design team and client. This was a unique experience for the team at SL2, which led to us forging a far deeper and longstanding relationship with this very well-respected and local business!
